Controller Authentication Failure Test

Objective

Verify that the driver correctly detects invalid credentials at runtime.

Test Procedure

1. Preparation:

   • Keep the driver running

2. Configuration:

   • Modify one of the following parameters:
     • Password (set incorrect value)
     • Username (use invalid credential)
     • Encryption Key (configure invalid key)

3. Execution:

   • Wait maximum 30 seconds

Expected Results

System Behavior:

• The device state must be "AuthenticationFailure"
• The driver must close open communications with the device

Event Log:

Authentication to 'DEVICE' failed.
