#060 - Video Recording Controls

Objective

This test verifies the functionality of recorded video streaming from a DVR or similar device. It checks the behavior of the control function.

To simplify test documentation, this test contains several sub-tests for each control mode.

Standard control buttons provide the following functionalities:

  • Pause and resume recorded stream (60-A)
  • Fast forward in recorded stream (60-B)
  • Rewind in recorded stream (60-C)
  • Fast forward in recorded stream (60-D)
  • Rewind at normal speed in recorded stream (60-E)
  • Rewind in recorded stream (60-F)

The number in parentheses represents a test that is passed if the functionality is supported.

Test Steps

  1. View the camera in the monitoring panel
  2. Activate the playback section
  3. In the playback section, set the time when a recording is available
  4. Execute the "Record Playback" command
  5. To control recording, use the standard control buttons displayed

Expected Result

  • The standard Netsocs playback panel is displayed
  • The buttons invoke the required functionality
  • For each supported functionality, the test is marked as passed

Notes

  • Test with various time intervals (e.g., more than an hour, different days, forward and backward).
