Technologies and Integrations¶
The Technologies module connects Netsocs Synergy with third-party hardware and software systems.
Here you configure the integrations that allow you to centralize video data, alarm panels, IoT, access control, and more in a single interface.
The central concept is the Driver: a software component that acts as a "translator" between Netsocs and a manufacturer's system, interpreting data and enabling command sending.
INFO
All integrations communicate through a Host (Site).
The Host is a Netsocs service installed on your local network that discovers compatible devices and establishes direct communication.

Add a New Integration¶
The process for adding an integration is done through a three-step wizard:
Step 1: Select Device Type (Driver)¶
Netsocs needs to know which system it will communicate with.
There are two methods for selecting the integration:
| Method | Description | When to Use |
|---|---|---|
By sites |
Shows devices automatically discovered on your network by the Host. | When the manufacturer supports automatic discovery protocols. |
By drivers |
Complete list of drivers available on the platform. | Most common and recommended method: allows manual and precise selection. |
Recommended procedure (By drivers):
1. Select the By drivers tab.
2. Use the search bar (e.g., "Hanwha", "InVID", "Lenel", "Dahua", "Hikvision", "Ajax", "Milestone").
3. Click Select next to the correct driver.
Step 2: Data and Credentials¶
Once the driver is selected, the wizard will request connection information:
- IP Address or Hostname of the device.
- Port for communication (e.g., 80, 443, 8000).
- Username and Password with appropriate permissions.
- API Keys or tokens, for API-based integrations.
WARNING
Incorrect credentials are the most common cause of errors.
Also verify that no firewalls are blocking communication between the Netsocs Host and the device.
Step 3: Synchronization and Configuration¶
With the correct credentials, Netsocs performs synchronization, which consists of automatically importing objects from the third-party system as entities within Synergy.
Synchronization examples by device:
- VMS / NVR → Imports the complete list of cameras.
- Alarm Panel → Imports zones and sensors.
- Access Controller → Imports doors and readers.
After synchronization, you can:
- Review imported objects.
- Assign descriptive names.
- Save the configuration.
✅ Once completed, the integration will be ready and objects (cameras, sensors, doors, etc.) will be available throughout the platform: Dashboards, Synoptics, Event Log, and more.
