Event Log

The Event Log is the central nervous system of Netsocs Synergy.
It provides a complete, interactive, and auditable log of every signal, action, and state change of all objects and users on the platform.

Unlike a passive log, it's designed as a dynamic management environment: it not only shows what has happened, but also allows you to act on events, classify them according to workflows, and generate strategic analytics.

Detailed Guides

Learn to leverage each Event Log function through the following guides:

Interface Navigation

The main view is a chronological table with the most recent events at the top.

Main Controls

  • Date range to filter by period.
  • Refresh, Filters, and Recognitions buttons to customize the view.

Key Columns

Column Description
event_code Standardized alphanumeric event code.
event_description Human-readable description of the occurrence.
Date / Time Exact timestamp of registration.
Objects Device, sensor, or zone associated with the event.
Recognition Current management status of the event (interactive).

Property Inspection

Clicking on an event opens the Properties tab, which displays all metadata in key/value format.
Includes technical information such as device or originating hub IDs.

INFO
This view is critical for forensic analysis, as it exposes data hidden in the main table.

Interactive Event Management

The Event Log allows you to act on related devices without changing modules.

Context Menu

Access from the Actions column or right-click on the object.
Example for an alarm sensor:

Action Description
Restore alarm Returns the sensor to normal monitoring state.
Bypass Temporarily disables the sensor.
Turn on test mode Activates diagnostic mode.
Rename Changes the object alias from the log.
Info Opens the device technical sheet.

Using Recognitions

Recognitions allow you to classify events according to their management status.
This adds a layer of operational intelligence over the data.

Application

In the Recognition column, select a status (e.g., Closed, False Alarm, In Progress).

Customization

Access the configuration panel with the Recognitions button.
Define for each state:

  • Name
  • Icon
  • Background color
  • Text color

TIP
Adapt Recognitions to your Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to align event management with your internal workflows.

Event Log Analytics

The Event Log feeds an analytics engine that converts events into KPIs and visualizations.

Key KPIs

KPI Description Importance
Average Response Time Average time from when an event appears until it is recognized. Measures initial efficiency.
Management Time Total event management time until resolution. Evaluates operational load.
False Alarm Rate Percentage of events marked as false alarms. Identifies devices or processes to improve.
Total events today Total events recorded on the current day. Indicates daily activity volume.

Trend Charts

Visualize historical metrics such as:
- Response time evolution over the last 24 hours.
- Management comparisons by day of the week.

These charts allow you to identify operational patterns, plan resources, and improve decisions.
