Reader
A 'reader' type object represents a device or software designed to capture, interpret, and process information from codes, signals, or unique identifiers within the Netsocs ecosystem. Its main function is to act as a specialized input interface that converts physical or digital data into structured information usable by the system, facilitating the identification, authentication, or registration of assets, users, or processes.
Main characteristics:¶
- Data capture: Reads barcodes, QR, RFID, NFC, or other identification formats.
- Automatic interpretation: Decodes information and converts it to a standardized format (text, numbers, commands).
- Native integration: Connects with other objects in Netsocs to trigger automated actions (e.g., verify permissions, update inventory).
- Real-time validation: Can verify the authenticity or validity of captured data against databases or predefined rules.
Common use cases:¶
- Access control: Reading credentials (RFID cards, QR codes) to authorize entries to restricted spaces.
- Inventory management: Scanning products in warehouses to update stock or record movements.
- User authentication: Validating identities through unique codes in mobile applications or devices.
- Process automation: Initiating workflows when scanning a code (e.g., repairs, shipments, maintenance).
Actions¶
