Binary Sensor

A binary sensor can have two states: on (activated) or off (deactivated). However, in the user interface (frontend), these states can be represented with alternative terms that are more meaningful in their specific context, such as open/closed, activated/deactivated, or present/absent.

This object is an extension of the sensor object, its classification is established in the sensor_type state property with the value binary.
